:: DEPLOYMENTS ::
1) Deploy Info:
This section includes general deployment information with phone numbers of USMC offices to contact should you need further assistance from the USMC. We also have two "Question and Answer" pages.
Includes ways your Marine may be able to communicate with you during deployment as well as how you can contact your Marine. Includes an outstanding section on care packages.
Depending on where you Marine is deployed, you may be able to find information specific to that location in this section of the web site. Included are base camp links, time zones, temperatures, and country dialing codes.
4) Back To Iraq:
This section addresses issues related to the February and March 2004 deployment of Marines back to Iraq. The statistics are showing 70% vets are going with 30% new boots for most units. Here you'll find news articles and helpful links.
5) Iraq 2003:
This is the archive section of our work and communications during the 2003 deployment of Marines to Iraq and Kuwait. We've archived as much information as possible for posterity. Included is the infamous section "From Our Marines" that includes communications parents shared with each other each time we would get a phone call or letter from Iraq and Kuwait. Includes some very poignant writings from family, friends, and our Marines.
Retrograde is what the Marine Corps calls the homecoming, or return from deployments. These sections have some travel tips as well as how to make sure you're getting accurate information about homecomings. You'll also find some stories and photos from Homecoming 2003 when our Marines returned from Iraq in 2003.
7) Post War:
This has helpful information for all branches of the military, for parents, spouses, family and friends of our Marines that have participated in hostile situations overseas. Included are articles for spouses, parents, and help for Marines as well. Also included are links to Veteran's information pages.
8) Our Marines:
We reserve these lists for our Marines that have been deployed to overseas combat locations such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti. The Marines listed in our deployed list are either currently overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, or have previously served in overseas for OIF and OEF. We also have a tribute page to babies born during deployments, and our fallen heroes.
