USMC Support Group
This support group is for family and friends of Poolees, Recruits (both current and potential) and Marines of the USMC. We welcome moms, dads, wives, husbands, grandparents, siblings (13-years-old and up), other relatives and friends. Child care or activities for those younger than 13 is not currently provided.
This is a new group, (as of September 2007) and its emphasis will be determined by the needs of those in attendance, but also by the willingness of volunteer participation to maintain and support it. It is our desire to be a support group for the families of Poolees, Recruits, and Marines who are either at home, at their Permanent Duty Station, or deployed.
The purpose of the meetings is to encourage friendships, communication, fellowship, education and support. As the group grows and diversifies, so might the emphasis. Future options might include guest speakers, creating and shipping care packages, fund raisers, family days, prayer groups, holiday gatherings, veteran encouragement, community events, etc. Itís your group - - you'll help shape it!
