Troop Support: Donations
Monetary donations to show your support is a great and important way of helping deployed Marines and their families, especially since the "any soldier" mailing programs have been discontinued due to security concerns. Please research organizations before donating your time or money. Here are a few of our recommendations for organizations to help you support our troops.
All organizations linked on this page of our web site have been verified to be legitimate and true to the mission of supporting military personnel and/or military families.
If you have a suggestion for an organization you feel should be posted on our web site, please use the Request to Add Web Site Link form.

Donate Airline Travel and Frequent Flyer Miles
Operation Hero Miles
In September 2003, the Pentagon started giving soldiers stationed in Iraq two-week leave periods in the largest R & R program since the Vietnam War.Troops can fly to Germany or Baltimore Washington International Airport for free, but they are responsible for the cost of flights to their final destination. Returning, they often have to purchase high-priced, last-minute airline tickets so they can spend time with their family. You can help American troops travel home to spend quality time with their loved ones.
Donate Calling Cards for Military Personnel
Operation Uplink
Operation Uplink is a project of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), which provides free phone cards to soldiers who are deployed. This can make a great difference to those who have to use phone cards to call home. You can sign up to have a phone card send to a soldier you know, or if you are a service member, you can have a phone card send to yourself.
