7th Marine Regiment aka RCT-7 when deployed (7th Marines)

1st Marine Division ~ 7th Marine Regiment
Infantry Units: 7th Marine Regiment
Includes 1/7, 2/7, 3/7, 3/4, 1st Tanks, 3rd LAR, 3/11, and
D Co. 3rd AA. On-order, 7th Marines conducts mechanized,
combined-arms operations and other expeditionary
operations in order to support theater engagement plans
and contingency operations. The Regiment will be prepared
to deploy within 48-hours of the receipt of an execute
order as either the ground combat element for the 1st MEB
or as a major subordinate element of the 1st Marine
Division. As directed, the Regiment will prepare infantry
battalions for deployment to the PACOM AOR in order to
support III MEF operations and training.

The Parent Network (PN) is an optional add-on to the newly adopted Marine Corps Family Readiness program. PN is not yet available for this unit. Marine Family Readiness: Under Commandant Conway's guidance, the Marine Corps Family Readiness program has undergone some changes in 2008. Every battalion has a FRO (Family Readiness Officer) who is responsible for providing information to spouses, parents and family members of our deployed Marines. The KV or Key Volunteer program is being phased out.
FRO Structure: The primary source of unit/battalion information for spouses AND parents is the FRO and Unit Hotline. The FRO will work with FR Assistants, FR Advisors and FR Volunteers along with the senior command members to make up the new Family Readiness Command Team.
Optional Parent Network: As part of the Family Readiness Program, each Marine Corps unit can opt to form a Parent Network (PN) for Marine Corps families as well. We'll provide information for the PN on this Unit Information Page™ (UIP) with approval from the unit's FRO only.
