Unit Information

The mission of 6th Communications BN is to provide communication support to Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group (MHG) or to a designated Joint Task Force (JTF) command element when directed. Additionally, to provide Ground Mobile Forces Satellite support to 4th Marine Logistic Group in the conduct of its Marine Logistics Command (MLC) mission, as directed.

6th Comm Bn is a reserve battalion under the command of the 4th Marine Logistics Group. It is comprised of: Headquarters Co (Brooklyn, NY), Service Co (Brooklyn, NY), General Support Co (Brooklyn, NY) and Direct Support Co. A (Rein) (Amityville, NY).

Family Readiness Information

The primary source of unit/battalion information for spouses AND parents is the Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) and Unit Hotline. The DRC will work with FR Assistants, FR Advisors and FR Volunteers along with the senior command members to make up the new Family Readiness Command Team.
