Toll Free Numbers for Information
Read the information on this page carefully to assure you have the right office to answer your particular question. If you do not get the information you need by using the numbers below, see also the link to the left " Marine Addresses".
USMC Iraqi Freedom Hotline: 1-866-227-2708
This number is answered 24 hours a day. It is primarily for concerned family members of Marines deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom to obtain accurate information, useful resources and helpful referrals. While messages of support from the general public are appreciated, please refrain from using the following numbers if you are not an immediate family member. Instead please visit the USMC web site. The hotline will not provide information on current operations, homecoming dates or casualties.

TOLL-FREE HELP NUMBERS:
This list includes toll free numbers for two specific inquiries:
1-) Information and referral numbers by region
2-) Recorded information regarding deployed units
1- Information and referral numbers by region:
Use these toll-free numbers to ask questions or gain information for virtually any question you may have, including obtaining overseas mailing addresses and other hard-to-find information. You will be required to provide personal identifying information about your Marine before your questions will be answered. Call the region number closest to the location your Marine was deployed from. The numbers are listed by regional areas as follows:
- East of the Mississippi River (minus Wisconsin) is served by Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico, VA. The phone number is (800) 336-4663.
- West of the Mississippi River (plus Wisconsin) is served by MCB Camp Pendleton, CA. The phone number is (800) 253-1624 (during duty hours) or (800) 854-2131 (after duty hours).
- Eastern Recruiting Region and personnel on independent duty are served by MCRD Parris Island, SC. The phone number is (800) 826-7503.
- Western Recruiting Region and personnel on independent duty are served by MCRD San Diego, CA. The phone number is (888) 718-3027.
- Marine Forces Reserve, MCCS can call (504) 678-1580 (Not toll free).

Camp Lejeune has setup a Community and Family Assistance Center toll free Deployment Support Line at 1-800-451-6227. The 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force has also established several toll free information lines to allow friends and family members access to current information.
