Ooh Rah!! The following Marines and/or units have returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom:
- October 16, 2003: From Pam, Marine Mom to Justin from Avon Park, FL
These photos are of LCpl Justin Jordan's homecoming party. Justin is with Echo Co. 2/5 Weapons Platoon. He returned from Iraq on Aug.12. He was able to spent time with his family in Avon Park, Fl. from Aug.14-Sept.19. We had a wonderful turnout from the community who wanted to show their support for one of their own hometown heroes. Hope you enjoy the photos. Semper-Fi PamP, Proud U.S.M.C. Mom

- June 10, 2003: From Melanie, Marine Fiance to Eric from Erie, PA
(Truck Company) Great news!! Eric is in Lejeune...phone calls were made that the plane would be in about 1 so it didn't give time for anyone to travel but they think possibly Saturday they will be here in Erie. Just to let others know the Erie truck Company isn't all returning just like i think 20 along with 30 guys from Ebensburg...or vice versa. Love to those still yet to come home and thanks to all the support on this site.
- June 8, 2003: From Patti, Marine Mom to Brandon from Massillon, OH
(1/5 Charlie Co) Tracy, I just got a phone call from Brandon, and he is back at Camp Pendleton! His plane actually arrived earlier than expected by a couple of hours. He sounds great and is anxious to get back home. He said it seems funny to be able to see English on the signs and buildings! While he was in Iraq, he met another Marine who is a neighbor of one of our friends. He said he took lots of pictures and I'm anxious to see them. They had posted some pictures and articles at Camp Pendleton, and he was describing them for me and laughing about some of them, and a couple times I said, "Oh, yeah, I saw that picture!" I asked about some of the Marines whose moms I have met on this site, and he knew Carolee's son. We have so much to catch up on! I can't wait to get him back home!
- June 7 News Article: 3/5 Marine
Goldberg, who serves with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Regiment, 1st Marine Division, had returned from the war in Iraq and a debriefing in California. He arrived early yesterday at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

- May 31, 2003: From Teanne, Marine Mom to Sgt Carl Basham from Austin, TX
(1/5 MT) Just wanted to let you know that I just returned from the homecoming of the 1/5 at Camp Pendleton. It was great seeing all our boys coming home. My son was shocked to see his family there for his return. The "key volunteers" of the 1/5 did a great job planning the reunion. I'm so happy to have my son back and hope all our men and women will be coming home soon. Thank you so much for this website.
- May 31, 2003: From Nancee and Kerry, Marine Parents to Paul of Dallas, TX
(3/4 from 29 Palms, CA) Thanks for all you did to support the Marine Moms website. The information was a source of relief and encouragement. Wonderful job! Paul returns home today. He drove back with a buddy with 3/4 who is also from the Dallas area. Enjoy Derrick's time home. I have attached a pic of Paul hugging his mom at the home coming. Click for Larger Photo
- May 28, 2003: From Claudia, Marine Mom to Darren from Bakersfield
(2d CEB Motor T) Wednesday 1:45 PM, Pacific Time I received a phone call from my son. He had just arrived at Cherry Point, NC. He said he was doing fine and glad to be home. Said he would call back after he called his girlfriend and charged his cell phone battery. This is the answer to a lot of prayers and we are praying that the rest of our troops come home soon. Darren is with the 2d CEB Motor Transport out of Camp Lejeune. Good Luck to everyone else.
