Dear Marines and Marine Family and Friends,
I took several hundred photographs during my time in Kuwait and Iraq with 3/7, and want to make them available to anyone who has the patience to go through them. They're all posted to a Kodak-owned website called www.ofoto.com It costs nothing to look at the pictures online. For a charge, Ofoto will make prints of the ones you want and mail them to you - plain, framed, in calendars, etc. When you log on, you will have to create an Ofoto account/password, but it's painless and free.
The only awkward thing about Ofoto is that you have to go to each of my "albums" separately. There are 23 albums, roughly divided by location and date. So below are 23 web links, one for each album. You might be able to go directly to the albums by clicking on the links below. If that doesn't work, try copying each web address and pasting it in your web browser. That should take you to the Ofoto website and automatically open the album for you, once you've logged on. You'll have to repeat that step for each of the albums. Feel free to send this email to other 3/7 families, friends and Marines who might be interested. I don't have an exhaustive email list of the battalion, and am just sending this message to those who have written me in the past. I haven't done much editing of the photos, so there is some repetition. The first album contains a slide show with the best of the other albums. Please excuse the last album, which contains photos of me by Andy Cutraro of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch; those will amuse my family more than the rest of you. And I apologize to those whose Marines don't appear in the pictures at all.
If you have trouble with Ofoto, you can email Service@ofoto.com for advice. I am not very technological adept, but am happy to help as much as possible.
I hope to meet you in person at 29 Palms when 3/7 comes home.
