the connections, the support here is outstanding

I was given a brochure for the Marine Parents from my son's recruiter. I came to the site, and have not left. Bootcamp seemed like forever, and I would not have made it, without the support from Marine Parents, now I can look forward for more support now that he is deploying. Thank you, thank you

My favorite thing about are the people here!

I remember when my sister told me about the site when her son (my nephew) was going through boot camp at MCRD SD over seven years ago. I enjoyed being able to be a proud aunt and getting some of my questions answered. THEN for my son to go to MCRD PI getting back into the site as a mom was my priority! THANK YOU MFN for still being here I could NOT have gotten through boot camp with out the information sources and the families here!

God bless you all and thank you for letting me find such great friends in time of confusion and sadness. Keep up the great work and hope to see you growing. :)

I have learned so much about the Marine Corps and made so many connections through the message boards. These connections got me through my son's deployment to Afghanistan by showing me that I am not alone.

The ten-year success of shows the power of one determined Marine Mom with a brilliant idea and the determination to make it happen! Congratulations to Tracy and!

The friends I've made are for life. You have been ready for every question any of us could have come up with. Love that there is no dumb question!!

Don't know how I would have made it thru boot camp without you workers and moderators at Marine Parents. Now his 5 years are finished and I will miss the clean cut military look and pictures of him in his dress blues. Have made friends and it was fun to meet some at boot graduation. You have answered questions and offered advice on packages for deployment. Thank you for all you do and keep it up.

It's nice going where people "get" what it means to have a loved one in the military. A place to share your joys and sorrows without being afraid to do so.

Tracy and staff, thank you so much for all the time energy and effort you have put into this site. God Bless.

Hi, My favorite thing about was the support from reading everything my daughter was going through in recruit training and beyond when she joined our US Marines at the tender age of 18. It gave me a special connection to her in a special way that a mother and family needs with their young adult being far from home, as well as, going through some of the biggest challenges we can only imagine. Thank you.

This is a tough one because it is difficult to narrow it down to only one thing. There are so many aspects about MarineParents that I love! :) I guess I would have to say the togetherness and feeling of belonging to a "family" because the rest of the civ world just doesn't understand. Thank YOU Tracy for listening to the voice of God to put the wheels in motion!! It is truly an honor to serve alongside so many wonderful people who have the courage and commitment in helping to make this such an amazing "home."

Even though I have not been a part of the entire 10 years, I can see the awesome changes that have transpired! I know the next 10 will continue to serve our Marine families and provide the support to all our Military Heroes!! Semper Fi MarineParents!

Favorite thing about Marine Parents:
My favorite thing about Marine Parents is the members--both the general membership and the wonderful staff of volunteers. Everyone here is so caring and supportive of one another that it truly epitomizes my core beliefs about “community,” and is one of the major reasons I have gone from member to volunteer. Regardless of what I encounter while I am here, I know that this place is a community with enduring values and loving people. An amazing place! Thank you, Tracy, for your vision, your courage, and your willingness to follow God’s plan in your life and bring about this bountiful gift in life for all of us to share. Inspirational!

Happy Anniversary! Ten down and so many more to go. :-)

Add to that, forging friendships akin to our own "Brotherhood" that will be carried thoughout life!

Thank you, MarineParents and it's founder, staff, and countless volunteers for making a world of difference in the lives of Marine families everywhere who rely on you through 2 wars and beyond as their lifeline! Keep up the good work for each new generation who loves a young adult who begins the transition into our hero when they step on those yellow footsteps!

I always feel like I've come home as soon as I log in. The caring support offered during the entire Marine Corps journey, knowledge gained, tremendous resources and programs available, friends made, and fun times meeting other members (any MMGW members still around?!!)...all priceless!

Happy 10th Anniversary to everyone who has been or are currently a contributing part of! Tracy, saying thank you is not enough to express my gratitude, but…it's all I have. We are all the better for what started so simply in your home so many years ago. Thank you.

The support offered to me and all the parents of recruits.

Thank you. I don't know how I would have survived Boot Camp without you. Your site for parents of recruits was an anchor to me. Many sleepless/worried nights I would get up and read the messages between the parents and moderators and have some peace that I was not alone in this process.

I love being able to connect with parents that had children join the marines.

This is my first child to join the marines and he is my youngest son. Without your site I feel I would be lost. Not knowing what to expect. I have the privacy to connect with others without having to post to facebook or other sites like that. May this site continue on. I would love to help others as they have love ones enter into the Marines. Thank you so much for what you done for me and others. MMSTEWART

It was the first internet site I came across when I was searching for information to learn more about my son joining the Marine Corps.

Congratulations on 10 years and for what you do each day. The highlight of my year was telling my students about Operation Pal and how by writing a letter and a card they could truly thank our Marines for their service.

I love all the valuable information that is provided, whether it's to purchase Marine items, learn about being a new Marine parent, connecting with others, helping to support care packages, writing to our heroes in recovery through Operation PAL, etc. Thank you!!!

Thank you, Tracey, for listening to the guiding hand of God in creating such a valuable resource for Marine families! As my son entered the service, I too had many concerns and feelings such as those you experienced. This site gave me the place to talk with others that would understand the wild array of emotions I was going through. This site is also where I turn to for information and allowed me to, in a small way, thank our wounded heroes & support those deployed. Thank you for providing such a valuable resource to the families! Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations on 10 years, Marine Parents! Your support for our Marines and their families is amazing. Personally, I thank you for being there in the wee hours of the morning, in 2008, when a Marine Mom could not sleep because she knew her Marine was outside the wire on missions. Thank you for all the information, the contacts and the personal help your staff has offered over the years. And even now, while my son is a Reservist, I still visit you often because you have been a friend. Now, I am enjoying all the scrapbooking materials available to put together those incomparable memories for my son. Congratulations...and thank you!

The sharing and emotional support.

Tracy....thank you! .....Your vision....coupled with your determination gave us MarineParents which became "The Place" to "Connect and Share" with those who were the only ones able understand what it is to be the Parent of a Warrior and in our case a MARINE. You are proof that God's hand works thru those whom he chooses.....

This has been THE place that knows and understands the rollercoaster ride of being a parent of military personnel. The cyber-hugs, the support, the information shared has kept me grounded from that first day when the recruiter handed me a business car. I stormed into the house vowing to never have anything to do with USMC, but several hours later I was peeking at the website, several weeks after lurking I post and the rest is history.

Happy Anniversary MarineParents Thank you Tracy for 10 years of hard work and to the BOD, to all of the volunteers past & present, and the members who came before me and those who will follow after me.

The most special thing about MarineParents is that it serves EVERYONE during the USMC journey - from the mom of a new poolee, dad of a recruit, families of new Marines at MOS school, loved ones of deployed troops, Purple Heart Heroes, vets and families of the fallen. It's an organization that stays relevant and caring for the whole trip!

Happy Anniversary to everyone involved with! Give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. And of course, special kudos to TRACY DELLA VECCHIA for her foresight, care and thousands of hours given to our mission. Thank you so much - you've changed a lot of lives for the better.
