CONCORD, NH: POOLEE NIGHT RECAP
On April 11, 2019 MarineParents.com volunteer, Diana Dungan, attended a Poolee Night in Concord, NH.
The poolees at this event were greeted by a Drill Instructor from Parris Island to give them a small taste of what to expect while at boot camp, as their families watched on. After the potluck dinner, SSgt Carter High and the recruiting staff introduced themselves to the families. Sgt Major Todd Colwell of Boston RSS spoke to the families about the Marine Corps and then answered questions from the families. Sgt Major Colwell also gave MarineParents.com a great compliment saying, "after I'm through you'll hear about Marine Parents, they are the most comprehensive #1 program out there to support marines and families period."
After Sgt Major Colwell was finished, Diana had an opportunity to speak. She talked about MarineParents.com and our history, supporting all stages, and the various ways to access our information and support. She also covered the website, our Facebook groups, newsletters, and the EGA Shop. Even after the event concluded, Diana still was approached by families with questions.
We want to thank Diana for attending to talk about the Marine Parents organization. We appreciate the feedback and hope to be a part of more poolee events in the future.
