Marjorie (Marjorie Terzian (Côté)) from Albany , NY
Marine
and
Originally from Upstate NY Marjorie relocated to the San Diego, CA home of the
MCRD area in 2000 with 2 small girls. Shortly thereafter she gave birth to her son.
Her
son grew up and joined the Marine Corps in Oct of 2020 and graduated from Lima
Company in January 2021. He received his PDS orders and will be relocating to
Camp
Lejeune, North Carolina. She has a "shrine" affectionately named by her daughters
to
honor the Marines and her son.
Marjorie's two daughters work in health care in Phoenix AZ and San Jose as an NP
and in Occupational Therapy( hopefully for Veterans). Marjorie works in oncology
medical sales and loves the outdoors. She enjoys painting, gardening, and reading
in
her spare time and one day would like to have chickens and a menagerie of animals
on a farm. Her favorite thing is being surrounded by the people she loves.
Marjorie was born at West Point, NY, and comes from an extended family of men
and
women who has served in various branches of the US military. This has shaped her
life
in various degrees in work ethic, integrity, and pride. When her son joined the
Marines
she found the experience being so far from home isolating and daunting. The
support
she received from MarineParents.com gave her the support that carried her. In that
vein, she felt the need to pay it forward.
