The Cause Gains Momentum in DC
The Marine Corps Identity Cause gained momentum in Washington, D.C. as retired Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey rallied for support.
Marine Parents founder Tracy Della Vecchia and Gold Star father Dick Linn joined him (photo shown here), along with Bronze Star recipient Sergeant Eddie Wright.
Now we're calling all Marine families and supporters!
Help ensure Marines are given equal recognition when it comes to the department they work for. Join us in the cause to change the name of the Department of the Navy to the "Department of the Navy and Marine Corps."

Support from All Ages |

Family and Friends Spotlight
From Cub Scouts to tenth graders, our Marines are receiving support from all ages.
We'd like to extend a special thank you to adults across the country who are encouraging awareness and troop support in children and young adults nearby. As Ronald Reagan cautioned:
"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."
Thank you for educating our young people and for promoting support of our Marines.
Visit our website for more photos and two examples of young people supporting our Marines including a tenth grade class that raised $500 for care packages and a special group of Cub Scouts who spent an evening learning about Marines and writing them letters.

Over 30% Raised! |
|
$8,000 More Needed by March 27th
Thanks to your generous contributions, just over 30% of the funds to ship 1200 cases of Girl Scout Cookies® to Marines was raised over the past few weeks.
We're on our way to reach our goal of $12,000 by March 27, 2010 and to make our 6th year shipping Girl Scout Cookies® to Marines a great success!
It's time to get creative with our fundraising! We have two unique fundraising stories to share with you to help give you an idea of what others have done in the past.
One story includes a church in Massachusetts and $1.00 for each of the members in the congregation. Another story involves a dress down day at the office; the price to dress down? A $5.00 donation in support of our Marines in combat zones.
See what's especially unique about that office, Click here.
A special "thank you" goes out to all who are helping us ship cookies to our brave Marines in Afghanistan.
