Unit Information
The mission of 4th Medical Battalion is to provide direct and general Health Service Support (HSS) to Marine Forces Reserve in order to sustain the combat effort. Secondary mission is to provide security for the Shock Treatment Platoons.
4th Medical Bn is comprised of: H&S Co (San Diego, CA), Det., H&S Co (Orlando, FL), Surgical Co. A (North Versailles, PA), Det., Surgical Co. A (Knoxville, TN), Surgical Co. B (Washington, DC) and Det., Surgical Co. B (Newport News, VA).

Family Readiness Information
The primary source of unit/battalion information for spouses AND parents is the Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) and Unit Hotline. The DRC will work with FR Assistants, FR Advisors and FR Volunteers along with the senior command members to make up the new Family Readiness Command Team.
