Kari is a mom of six, four biological and two bonus sons. She lives in middle Tennessee with her husband and her plethora of dogs. She is no stranger to military life as she was a Marine wife from 1998-2009. Her oldest bonus son was an infantry Marine for four years before transitioning to the Army. She also has two other sons currently on active duty in the Army, and her youngest is currently in boot camp at MCRD San Diego. Kari is also a very proud “Mimi” to three granddaughters, with another on the way in May 2024. Her oldest son first gave her the title of a Marine MoM. He graduated from boot camp at MCRD San Diego 2nd RTBN Echo Co in October 2017. Her youngest, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and brother, will graduate from MCRD San Diego in March 2024.
Kari joined MarineParents as a volunteer once her youngest enlisted and arrived at MCRD San Diego. She wanted to be part of MarineParents because of all the support she received while her son was in recruit training. She followed along with the daily posts in the groups as her son journeyed through his boot camp experience.
