Patricia Scheffel

Patricia was born and raised in Central Texas, where she still resides. She has been married to her best friend for 21 years, and they have 3 boys and 3 dogs. Their oldest son graduated from MCRD in November 2023. He is currently at his MOS School on the East Coast. When she is not working at her full-time job or taking care of daily life with her family, she enjoys reading, camping, and traveling to new places.

Patricia would have been completely lost without the support and generous amounts of information provided through MarineParents.com and its Facebook groups. Having her oldest son say he wanted to be a Marine brought on a mixture of emotions. The day he left for boot camp was difficult for her and her family, to say the least. Patricia looked to her MarineParents Support Groups and information on MarineParents.com daily. This is why she wants to volunteer, to give back and help provide support and information to other family members going through the process of becoming a part of the Marine Corps Family. It is not easy, but the support groups make it so much more bearable.
