Catalina (Catalina Cormack VO) from Dublin, TX
Marine
and
Catalina, a farmer's wife and mother of three, lives in Texas. Her eldest son, now a Marine,
had never expressed interest in the military. Then, one October evening, he surprised his
parents by announcing, "Tomorrow, I have an interview with a recruiter to join the Marines."
Needless to say, they were shocked! Unfamiliar with military life, Catalina sought information
when her son left for boot camp and discovered MarineParents, which became an
invaluable resource for her.
Catalina deeply appreciated the efforts of the volunteers in the support group, which
inspired her to explore the idea of volunteering and giving back. However, it was only after
her Marine was deployed that she decided to take action, beginning the training necessary
to become a volunteer herself.
